Use gummy gunk remover. No paint thinner or other type solvent will help. Even a grease disolving soap can help if it is not too thick such as Gunk. Just don't use gas, too dangerous.

There is an additive called seafoam. You can get it at some auto parts stores. It can be added to the oil or gas. it cleans up a lot of different things and is pretty good.

Most two strokes disassemble pretty easy. That and three cans of gumout is the only way you'll get it clean. And use high quality oil next time.
