The Pratt and Whitney F119-100 vectored thrust engines. these will allow the engine to point it's exhaust up/down/side to side so the plane will be to maneuver more tightly than other planes except for the SU-27 which also has vectored thrust engines. These engines are also very fuel efficient and allow the plane to cruise at super sonic speed an ability no other plane can do. Other planes guzzle fuel when flying faster than sound.

It uses two Pratt And Whiney PF119 Turbofan, which deveops 30,000 pounds of thrust each. www.f22fighter.com has all kinds of f-22 things and specs.
