Im 19 and I still havent got my own car yet. Im kinda embarrassed about it, but hell money dont grow on trees. But I have no idea what so ever where to start on getting a car. I need ALL the steps and advice. I dont want a new car, nothin too fancy, just a car thats good on gas, has heat, and can get me from point A to point B. Oh I also want to know how old you were when you got your first car, preferably if you got it YOURSELF. And what kinda of car was it? How was it?

The brake lights work fine during the day, but when we have to turn on the headlights, they no longer work. Any suggestions?

When i drive the car to a stop, like at a junction, the engine revs go very low before returning to normal, and sometimes the engine cuts out. When diving with the revs at about 2500 rpm, it seems to miss fire occationally.
I have replaced sparkplugs, leads, distributer cap and rotor arm.
I have also gone around i think all electrical connections.
The engine seems to rev freely and responsive, and nothing wrong with starting.
It is a 1.4ltr AEX engine, 1996 P reg.
Any ideas will be very greatfully recieved

Im 19yrs. old a on 10.13.06 while on the freeway,I was cut off by another vehicle. I slammed on the brakes so the man would not hit me, my car skidded and hit the wall of the free way head on. My car bounced off made a complete circle and the rear of my car hit the wall again. My car was totaled. According to the manuel they should have gone off if my airbag indicator light came on everytime I turn on my car, it does.The car is a 2002 Nissan Sentra GXE. My mother and I are consedering sueing, my question is should I? If so for how much and would I even win?

I bought a 96 Chevy Silverado about 2 weeks ago and yesterday the truck will not go into reverse. I can still go to Drive, neutral, and other positions but the truck wont go in reverse. Have any oof you ahd similar issues?

My front rotors are fine, but the pads are worn down to the point that
they squeak. I am wondering how you compress the pistons that put pressure on the pads to A. Get them off, and B the new pads are thicker, so you have to make room to get them back on somehow.

(I'm too cheap to have a brake job, and know I can do this myself for a lot less)

I bumped a car backing out of a parking spot well over a year ago, my car was undamaged but the other car had a scrape about 2"x2" on the paint job. I felt extremely guilty, I told the woman who owned the car I was really sorry and accepted full blame. She said just let it go and we parted ways. A month later I found out she reported it the police a week after the incident because my sister happened to see her one day and the lady said that the parking lot video surveillance cams caught it and it was reported and her auto insurance company wants my auto insurance information now. She gave my sister the name of the cop who filed the report. When I talked to the cop, he said she reported it herself. Regardless, I mailed her my auto and contact information. The whole thing happened 18 months ago. She never contacted me again and as far as I know, my own auto ins. company was never contacted. I'm just wondering if she changes her mind, again, can she still file a claim?
