We bought an old truck with a horrible window tint film job that needs to come off - anyone know any home-made concoction that will loosen the film's adhesive so we can more easily remove it? Any advice would be appreciated!

Denatured alcohol will soften the adhesive and remove any excess once you pull the film off.
I have applied the alcohol with a sprayer and then taped a large plastic garbage bag over the window to keep the fumes near the window tint.

Use diluted ammonia in a spray bottle and lots of new razor blade(single edged) . First make some slices in the film and pull back , second then spray with the solution . and continue alternating between steps. It's messy but effective
