Well, my first car was a 1973 Chevy Nova...lasted for 150,000 miles before I totaled it. Went to Nissan Sentra and Toyota Corolla after that. Now my car is a 2005 Chevy Cobalt, and I'm very impressed with the workmanship. Have over 49000 miles on it and it still rides as quiet as the day I bought it. Regular maintenance such as oil and filter changes, tire rotations so far. No major problems. They have a winner in this one and have their reputation back in my book.

Above answer has it right. I don't care for an over rated company that thinks their sh** doesn't stink such as GM and still have the audasity to charge a people for a new vehicle in which by common law they already legaly own. And I think anyone should be able to pull in to the local GM dealership and pick out what they want since they already bought it any how. I don't like a company such as GM that steals other companys ideas to try and stay ahead of the comp, in which they still can't for some odd reason. That being a lot of different styles and makes of performance cars to compete with one Mustang that they still can't beat in performance/sales in 45 yrs + of making it. That in itself says alot. And now Toyota has broken away from GM is trying to co-hoots with Ford, whats that about? Does that not say something is wrong there. I'll stick with what I know works and always will (Ford). When they indorse the Bigfoot 4x4 program again and bring back the bullet proof Bronco series their sales will more than triple from what it is now. Much like the reintroduced Camaro has done for GM at a modest pace.

I have a 1992 Chevy Lumina 3.1 and I like it. Its good on gas and the seats are very comfortable. The ride is a little stiff but I don't really mind it. The 3.1L v6 has pretty good acceleration and is very responsive. The car handles pretty good know that I have put on 16x7 inch tires from a 93 grand prix. My car has 124,400 miles on it and it still has the original tranny and the engine does not knock or any thing. The car does not even make and old car noises when you go over bumps, and best of all is that the A/C and the cruse control still work!,

I like them a lot. I've worked on several caprices, including my own, and they are good to work on. Mine has 240,000 miles on it. The original junk 305 made it 200,000 of those, and now it has a rebuilt 350. The transmission is original, and has nothing in the bottom of the pan when checked. I'm pretty confident that it will last forever.
As far as parts go, they are very inexpensive and easy to get everywhere. I'll have a Chevy forever.

New ones are on top, but my 14 year Saturn still runs like new and thats a Chevy affiliate. You cant go wrong with a new one, but I wouldnt buy used outside of the Impala and Malibu. Nowadays GM has the most top rated vehicles while Toyotas looking at the most recalls. Quality goes down with demand, and thats quite obvious here. If your looking at a sedan, I strongly suggest you look at the Saturn Aura. Its the prefect blend of flashy (yes, it is flashy), quality, and value. To get a Toyota or Honda with the equipment the base model has you would have to pay thousands extra. Check it out http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images?ei=UTF-8&p=Saturn+Aura&fr=sfp&b=21

Chevys are as good as anything else. Try buying a 2 year old Chevy. They are as good as a new one at half the price.

Love em....., Owned nothing but gm products (except one dodge omni, peice of crap) And they seem to always start (even though the timing may be off, rockers loose as hell, ignition system with barely any spark if these are not properly checked throughout they're lives)
Farmers around here beat the crap out of em and they keep going..., seen em severly overloaded...
