Can you tell me the names of Australian auto manufacturers? I know there are a few, but can't find them.

Companies that build cars in Australia are Holden, Ford, Toyota and Mitsubishi. Holden is part of GM. The recent Pontiac GTO was made in Australia. Most cars we buy here are imported from Japan, Korea, South Africa or Europe.
