I have a '97 Ford Ranger pickup, standard 5 speed. The gauge shows hot but the engine is cool. I had it in the shop and had the thermostat replaced and the radiator flushed and pressured checked as well. It did not solve my problem. Any reason to think this is connected with the ac/heater problem? I am told this a vacuum leak (they both work but one never knows which one will come on). Although I have not bothered to fix the 'vacuum problem' (since it is no big deal) the temperature gauge accuracy is. Everything else works fine.

Jeep is a little vague in the test reports, just saying mileage is better. Also they advertise a navigation system, but the dealer says it is not going to be available until 2008. Does anyone have an update on this?

Had car home a few days and checked my oil etc. Something made me check the radiator and it is filled with water, there is some brown greasy looking stuff floating on top. Going to call the garage in a.m. My question is, can this be harmful to the car? I am so pissed off about this, They charged me $42.00 for that alone. A guy told me that what alot of people dont know is that you can loose low end torque from a high flow exhaust on an older motor. now my question is that if this is true could you pick up more torque by making your exhaust more restrictive? at least low end torque...

I have 1987 4X4 Chev. Fleetside pick-up-truck that I am trying to sell. Heavy 3/4 ton with a new motor and transmission . Everything from the grill to the transmission has less than 6,000 miles on it and put in less than 3 years ago. Paid more than $8000.00 to have all the work done on it. 95% tires and brakes. Would be good job or snow plow truck.
Needs some body work but is mechanically sound.
Need to get rid of it because it is an extra vehicle that we don't need.
