depends on the car. avg. price is $350 for a new, $300 for a rebuilt. And sometiems, dependng on popularity, they could be in the $200's.

They can run anywhere from $200 to $1400 depending on your car. Maybe $200 for install. Installing has to be done by someone good. If you just hook it up and fill it with refrigerant, it will never run right.

Installed about $450.00, they will not just do the Compressor, they replace the dryer, and other parts - Luxury cars more in the $700 range.
