My parents are buying me a 2005 standard honda civic. I don;t know how to drive standard. I' m taking the car b/c a standard car is better than no car. Can tips or links or an explanation on how standard works and how to drive it? Tips on going driving on an hill b/c i know standard cars slide backwards alot.

My FZR 600R has after market indicators front and rear. The left one flashes at the correct speed but the right one is twice as quick and barely more than a flicker. I have checked and both bulbs are illuminating so I know I havent blown a bulb.
Replacing the indicators with new (also after market) units makes no difference, except that both sides start flashing quickly. What can I do to slow down the rate at which they flash?

A couple of weeks ago my car made this terrible loud screeching sound right when I turned it on. I immediately turned the engine off and when I turned it back on a minute later the sound was gone and my car ran normally. I decided it had something to do with the fact that it was raining and somehow water had gotten in somewhere it wasn't supposed to.

But then last night when I turned my car on it made the same loud screeching sound again. And when I turned off the engine and restarted it everything was fine.

Does anybody have any idea what the problem might be?

There is a smell as though something is burning occasionally when i drive and after the car is shut off. Any info would be greatly appreciated. thx The light that stays on does also shut off from time to time. confusing............

First, please keep in mind i know nothing about cars.

My car has had no indication of problems all day. I parked it next to the house so i could vaccumm it. When i went to put it into the parking space, it wouldnt start.

It sounds like it is makeing a kind of grinding noise. the clock flickers. the lights come on. The needles, (temp and whatnot) are fluttery up and down when i try to start it.

The oil was just changed last night. I dont know if that could have done something to it? It worked fine all day so far.

Could someone give me any ideas on what it coud be? And what could be done for it?

Or even something i could try to do to find out what is wrong myself?

Hiya everyone!

Why is it that this rich g*t round my area who drives a porsche one week, a bentley the next, and a ferrari the next always has the same registration number on his car?

I thought the registration plate related to only one car and that there was a right rigmarole with the DVLS to get it changed to another vehicle?

Come on, there must be someone out there who knows the answer to this one, or maybe you're a rich g*t yourself and you know all about it?

Either way, please let me know!!
