I have just bought a new toyota camry. I am just inquring whether i have to warm up the engine before I drive off. When I ask the mechanics, they said that I don't need too because it is an engine with a new technology . And If I have to, what temperature is ready for me to drive off? thanks

In Europe, Volvo has developed a car that leans into the directon of the curve you are turning. If it works there then why can't all cars be this way here?

I have an automatic 2001 Focus SE with about 42000 miles on it and recently I'll be driving and the car will downshift for a second or two and then shift back into gear. The result is that the engine revs up, and I slow down a bit.

I noticed this a few months ago and took it into the dealer, but they said they couldn't find a problem. I had an oil and filter change done at the same time and the problem seemed to go away, but recently it started up again. I'm seeing it at least once a day now (two 10 mile drives).

Any ideas?

I just had a wheel bearing on my vehicle replaced as it was making a terrible sound (like road noise) and my mechanic thought that was also what was making a knocking sound when I turned. It hadn't made that sound since I got it fixed on Friday, but it just did when I backed out of a driveway and then turned back straight. ANY ideas as to what's making that noise??? He didn't think the CV? joint would be bad on a car with this low of miles... Thanks!

I have a 99 V reg Vectra arctic DI

Stopped all of a sudden and would not start again.

I have replaced the leak of pipes as I know they are prone to faults.

Still will not start.

If I block of the return pipe from the pump and tow start, the car starts and runs fine but as soon as the return pipe is unblocked the car ticks over lumpy and will not accelerate.

Will not start on the key

Garage says it is injector pump, but i am not convinced (Probably as they want a grand to replace it)

Please help as I am at my wits end with this.

I posted a question on here before about a shaky car when slowing down and accelerating, everyone said warped rotors, one person said transmission. I got an opinion from a mechanic actually driving it and he said that alas, it is the transmission :(. From what jbpopem said on here, "The vibration on acceleration is more than likly an imbalance in the automatic transmission when going through the 3rd gear drive path." Now I'm wondering can I possibly fix the problem or will I have to replace the entire transmission? Thanks to everyone for your help, you're awesome.

Something inside vibrates when ever my truck shifts. Usually when it's cold. It sounds like it's coming from somewhere in the dash or passenger side door. Could you give me some ideas to check.
