A while back I saw a pickup that, I kid you not, had Ferrari printed on the tailgait. Did the I-ti auto legend really make a pickup for the American market or was this simply a joke played by the owner? It kinda loooked like a late-90s Ranger.

I keep finding cars I dream about (used of course) but the cheap ones are automatic, kinda weird cuz it's more expensive to fix if you kill the transmission. but anyways can i change it?

I need to take my car in tomorrow and my husband's in Afghanistan. My family doesn't live here and all my friends work. I think the brakes need to be redone. That will take awhile right? Should I plan on walking home or do they give you a ride?

First off.. the intention of this question is to get some ideas BEFORE I go into a repair faciliy ... I *know* I should take the car to a mechanic.

The car is a 99 Cavalier .. 76k miles... one owner car (me), and I'm the only one that drives it.
The tires are 2-3 years old BFGoodrich (15k-20k miles on each), but good quality with 80k mile warranty on them. Low miles.
I had the tires checked out on Friday and they told me: no bubbles, no separation and they were balanced. No bent rims.

I notice this bumping at slow speeds (slowing down, speeding up from a stoplight), and a vibration at higher speeds (45-50). It feels like when you have flat spot on the tire or bubble in the tire.
But again, I took this into the Tire store (Discount Tire) and they ruled this out.

No other mechanical problems that I can detect.. car runs great.

Ideas? Should I try taking the car to another Discount Tire to have them checked out again.. they won't charge me.
I'm out of space.

How do you know when a car overheats? My temp gauge on my 63 newport goes all the way into the danger zone. Is something supposed to blow? I have never had a car overheat. The hoses have good pressure, new w.p. therm., and another new sender. Help

I want speed and a large useful load (like everyone.) This is obviously a first purchase. My maximum budget is around 60 or 70K. I prefer a low wing to a high wing. Any suggestions on a make or model in this price range would be helpful.

Also, I don't know about overhaul time, ie, a good amount of time since an overhaul. What is the average amount of hours a plane can fly without being overhauled? How many hours will an airplane last (airframe and total time?)

Any other tips on what I should look for when shopping would be very helpful too.

I know I'm pressing my luck asking another question but here it goes. I hold a PPL with about 120hrs. Are there certain restrictions on the type of aircraft I can fly such as high performace, complex? If so, what do I need to do to be able to fly one. Do I just need a checkout?

Thanks in advance for everyone's help.

I have a Mitsubishi 2000 Mirage which I love, but it's at 65k miles and the brakes and engine are starting to make a bit of noise. I want to get a used under 60k miles Eclipse between 2000-2004. Are these reliable cars. Do they need a lot of maintenance or have major issues? I know Honda Civis are really reliable and last a good 250k, do Mitsubishi Eclipses? I like the handling and style, but I want it to last a good 75k miles until 125k.

Please advise. Thanks
