If you have to ask your mom if you can get a fast car, you're not ready for a fast car.
Anyone under the age of 20 shouldn't be allowed to drive anything with more than 150hp. Simply because most teenagers are reckless behind the wheel no matter how much power they have at their toes.
The best thing to do, is start of with a beater car and hone in your driving skills. You won't have to worry about someone backing into you at the store, or someone keying your car, or trying to handle 500hp on wet roads.
Take it from someone who grew up in a hot rod shop, drove a $50,000 muscle car at 16, and had 12 points on his license by 20, it's better to wait until you and your friends have grown up a little bit.

tell her its good practice since ur gonna be a race car driver, otherwise just buy 1 without her knowing....junkyards if u want put some effort into it
