I have the body structure down and an awesome transformation scene... Silver is old so I have a new weakness and they transform at will. Last of all, How would you act if you had to look at all the people you ripped limb from limb everyday, including your mangled father knowing you killed the abusive S.O.B then got shunned by your family?? Aside from that would you want to stay a werewolf or be a human again??

Sounds like you've made a good start. I would love to see it when it's done. The graphics and gore are great for the action sequences, but the drama is where the story makes it or breaks it.

Remember that wolves are pack animals, and those social relationships are paramount in their lives. A wolf must have his/her place in the pack. A lone wolf is soon a dead wolf because it lacks the protection and hunting ability of the pack. It would be a very great burden to have killed family, even if they "deserved" it, and your character should definately exhibit that.

One of the best themes is that there is "no going back", that one you have become the "monster" you are never really human again. It is how the character deals with that, being humane but not human. Even the werewolf has to be the hero, or anti-hero, so the character can not simply give everything up and go postal, being only the monster. There is no angst, no drama, in any of that. Most of the best scifi and anime are based on the human themes of perseverance and hope for the future. Even being a "monster" can be overcome, and something noble can be made of the most terrible circumstances.

If you haven't already, check out Wolf's Rain, it's a great series.

Did you post this like a few days ago? I emailed my brother in-law, who is very knowledgable in all things mythical, and this is what he wrote:

It is thought to
be a disease called lycanthropy, contracted via a bite. The infection is
supposed to cause the werewolf (were coming from the Anglo-Saxon word "wir"
meaning "man") to assume a bestial hybrid shape whenever the full moon is
out. Their weakness to silver is sometimes thought to be a connection to
the moon, as silver was to the moon what gold was to the sun to the ancient
Pagans.
Personally I think its an allegory for the animal instinct that resides in
everyone howling for release.
It is a reconnection to the primal forced onto someone, much like the
legends of Iron John.
There is also a wicked BAD-*** roleplaying game that portrays werewolves as
the full-on raging white blood cells of Gaia come to purify the Earth Mother
in a frenzy of claws, guns and eldritch spirit magic that dates back to the
separation of Pangaea.

Hope that helps some :o)

you might check out other animes along that genre. But it sounds like you are off to a good start. Maybe a female werewolf?
Maybe even a family. The colors should be of a wlof color so go to the zoo and do some research. good luck.
