I have a 2005 toyota corolla xrs manual trans. with 71,000 miles on it. Latley it has lost alot of its power. How it started is I would hit the gas and the car would go but the rpm's go up and the engine revs for a second, then it goes back to normal and I can accelerate normally. Today I had to run out and Its acting up alot more. I will accelerate and the rpm's go up really fast. I have to shift alot sooner than I use to just to keep the engine from reving too much and the rpm's from going too high. I can accelerate still but its like it has no power. It struggles to get going.
What could possible be wrong? Im gonna have it looked at tomorrow.
