It will cost about $250 per axle. Why are you replacing them on a 2005? How many miles on the car? Do you ride your brake? Do you coast into an intersection?

Personally, unless the brakes are chattering when I apply them, I replace the pads only. Turning down the rotors each time is just a mechanic picking your pocket.

The rotors will probably be around 50 bucks each, the pads maybe 50 bucks...so if you have 4 wheel discs, 200 for the rotors, about 50 for pads for all 4 wheels.

Id ask friends and neighbors if they have recently had brakes done locally, and if they recommend the place

If your vehicle is a 2005 you shouldn't have to replace the rotors unless you had metal to metal contact for a long period. The rotors are lathed smooth and pads replaced for about $100.00 per axle. I can't tell where to go because I don't know what city you are in.

The pads are $29.99 for the store brand, and $56.99 for premium pads. The rotors are as low as $25.99 for the store brand, and $60.99 for the premium ones. Most auto parts stores offer more than one brand. If you are mechanically inclined, you could do the work yourself and save the shop labor. Keep in mind, if you have someone else do the work, they usually mark up the price of the parts. Some shops will not do the work unless you buy the parts through them.

Unless you have excessive miles, you should not need a rotor, if so it may be covered under the warrenty, there is something wrong
