I brought my vehicle 2 a mechanic 4 an oil change and brake job he takes it out on a test drive and gets in2 an accident. The other car involved in the accident takes full responsibility 4 his actions his insurance has provided me with a rental and will be covering any other issues. However i still have this bad taste in my mouth because I have been inconvenienced now I have 2 go out and look 4 another car. (my car they totaled was new I only had it 4 2weeks) Do u think a lawyer will be able 2 help me recover more funds for my 'pain and suffering,' or should I just take my check 4 whatever the car is worth and smile?

Is it better for your car to drive fast or slow while offroading (say perhaps, and average dirt road within or near city limits). Also, will loosening your suspension help?

Nearly every car on the market has their exhaust/tail pipe on the back left side of the bumper.

Lately, when I turn the key to crank the engine and start my car, it seems to take longer than usual. Granted, I know that I need an oil change, but am not sure if this can be a cause for the problem. The car is still fairly new (2001) and doesn't seem like it should be acting like this. Can there be any other cause to this problem beyond a need for an oil change?

If there's a chance that a part will need to be replaced, might anyone have an idea as to how much this will cost me?

If you own a 2007 Scion TC, what do you think the pro's and con's are? Please be honest. I've heard a lot of good and bad things and I really would appreciate your opinion. Thanks.

OK, my car was stolen and they basically broke my ignition switch. Luckily the police found my car and it was still running and they eventually had to shut the car off. When i got there i was told to take the car home since they found it. Did all paper work n stuff then i had to try n start with screwdriver and it didnt want to start. So next couple days my cousin and i checked the battery, install new ignition switch in and checked all fuses and they are working. The only way we got to make the engine go on was to compression start it, which worked. Was there something i missed or any of u know wat i can do to find out?

Hi guys!
My husband and I are getting ready to purchase a used car (possibly 2). I had a few questions maybe you all could help me with:

1) In all reality, how much can you haggle the price down on a used car? Lets say a car is $17,000.00 and I'd like it to be haggled down to about $14,000.00. Do you think this is possible??

2) Give me some of your best haggling tips when buying a used car---what are some good things to say/do to get the price down and have it on the road with tax, tags and title when all is said and done.

Any other advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help!! :)

I've never owned a Volvo before, but have heard good things about them. I particularly like that they're supposedly long-lasting and reliable. Can anyone tell me about that particular model and give me their good/bad opinions on it?
The car has 111,000 miles on it.

Any help would be appreciated! :-)

I just bought a new Honda CR-V EX and i'm considering using better gasoline on it than what i use on my old car, the 83 kind i think. So what's the difference between number 83 and 87 and 93 except the price? And is there any rules that i have to follow about? like someone once told me certain vehicles can only use certain kind of gasoline, is that true? And will it hurt if I put 93 gasoline in when I still ahve some 83 left in the tank? Help will be greatly appreciated!

1st question: I am considering swapping my 4.3 v6 out of my 1990 S-10 blazer for a SB 305. Should I do it or is it more pain than pleasure?

2nd: I will NOT do it myself, so has anyone done it before and how much does it cost (approximately)?

3rd: Anyone know anybody in San Francisco bay area that is reputable to do this swap?

Just begining my car shopping. I currently have a Dodge Stratus and want another mid-size sedan. I've been fairly happy w/ the Stratus but wanting to try something else. So far I'm leaning towards the Impala. Just curious if people have had good experiences with the new ones. Thanks.
