I have a 1971 1210 2x4 pickup with a 304 v8. I'm having problems with the trans I'm thinking of replacing it but it maybe cheaper just to re build it. If I do replace it what would be the best trans for work and highway?

Has anyone replaced their stock seat cover - either driver or passenger? I'm considering buying this (see link), but I'm leery about doing the work myself. I'm afraid I'll ruin the stock cover taking it off and that I'll wreck or do a bad job recovering it.

This is the item I'm thinking about. I have a corbin seat, so I would only cover the passenger seat. No one will use it - I lost my seat cowl and don't feel like spending the money to replace that.

Thanks to all who helped us at port royal.. now my brother and i are somewhere in "somewhere".. question.. a few people are talking about a book and a box.. we keep clicking in places with the pointer finger and a guy repetitively says "no"? any help will be appreciated.

My right turn signal blinks fast. I went to auto parts store and they sold me a fuse looking thing but I do not know where it goes. I have a96 Olds Acheiva. I looked at the fuse panel but all those are normal fuses. there is a fuse box under the hood by the battery and those looked likes the same size but could not make out where it goes if it truely goes there.

i have a 1998 chevy lumina ltz. yesterday the timing belt broke. i bought a new one and i have a friend who says he can do it. my concern is the belt being put back on correctly. the man at kregan, where i bought the belt said as long as he's done it before it's not that hard. just make sure he has something to lift the alternator to relieve the pressure.
has anyone ever done this kind of job? how hard is it? oh one more thing, how much of a difference does it make if my engine is sideways? when i've taken my car in before i was told that it was sideways.

My car is repairable, but the insurance company wants a salvage title and I can "buy" my car back from them . I want to keep my car, and I want to keep a clear title. The insurance company said it was a law that I get a slavage title. Help?

I got fuel to all the combustion cheamber's but the bike won't idel. Now my qustion is #2 spark plug has a weak spark and or no spark. can i trim the wire back a bit, To get the Screw in more wire?

I own a 1995 mustang cobra and when i first got it, it was wonderful, no probs. around 2 weeks ago, the battery just died. so i had it towed to my mechanic. they charged the battery back up, and hooked it up to a bunch of machines to see what had drained it. they had it hooked up for a full day and tested everything and yet nothing showed up. my mechanic didnt have a clue what had done it. so i had my car alarm disconnected as well as my cd player, just to be cautious. it has driven fine since then until 2 days ago, it has done it again. i hooked some jumper cables up to it so i could atleast start it and get to the mechanic to preferrably put a new battery in it, but the jumper cables and a big truck can't even charge the battery enough to start it. does anyone know what might be causing this?
