Generally unreliable, poor body work, expensive to repair and insure. If the car is £200 and you get six months out of it you have done well, otherwise steer clear! Don't fill up the tank with petrol though as I don't think you will get through it.

listed lower than are some truths from an Alfa proprietor. they don't look outfitted by employing Fiat, interior the same way that Bugatti Veyrons at the instantaneous are not outfitted by employing VW, they're basically owned by employing those agencies. contemporary Alfas do no longer rust. 20 years in the past possibly, yet then maximum 20 three hundred and sixty 5 days previous BMWs are rustbuckets now. In keeping that, i must be careful of a one hundred forty 5, as even the newest is now 8 years previous, yet a 147 is an mind-blowing automobile. a chum of mine swapped an Audi A3 for one a lengthy time period decrease back and he's run it as a lot as over 100k miles without hardship. i understand a number of Alfa vendors with autos at similar mileages, such as a 156 V6 with over 200k miles on it, so that they are as strong as the different automobile in the adventure that they are regarded after. i will believe the remark about the Selespeed automobiles although. sidestep them like the plague, they are going to spoil!

Alfa Romeo has never had a great reputation for reliability. This car is over ten years old with high mileage. If you are willing to keep it running, then go for it. You may have a pleasant ride for a few thousand more miles, but expect the worst.

An Alfa that's done 105k miles?????.... don't even touch it with someone else's bargepole - to answer your question in all seriousness, it will break down within the week and the spare parts are a hideous price. ....... they haven't got an awful reputation for reliability for nothing...
