I see many people buy cars in the US, legalize them, and take them to Mexico. Can people buy cars in Mexico and bring them here (USA)? Any companies that help? Some cars are unavailable here like the VW air cooled bug, VW Bora, Ford Lobo etc. Did NAFTA help in this matter?

My friends and I are driving to California in August. We wanted to take I-10 but heard that the checkpoints take about 3 hours to sit through and there are a lot of them, and we don't want to have to deal with cops. Can anyone tell me any information about checkpoints throughout the San Antonio to California route? I just don't want to add more time to the trip. Thanks for any help or links to this info. Also any alternate routes (other than I-10)?

Checked both switches on the clutch pedal. Both switches function well and ohm out good. No brocken wires or blown fuse found. Jumpered both switches at different times. No go. Dash lights come on, signals/wipers/horn work. What could we have done wrong or was there a prep for this job?

It seems crazy, but the oil companies are still raising gas prices even though there is no foreseeable shortage. I think the American people should get together, hire an attorney and try to sue the pants off those companies that are making billions off the public because practically everyone needs a motor vehicle to get around. Why should we continue to pay these high prices just because people in other countries pay more than we do? I think they are traitors because they know that most people that own or have control of a motor vehicle is going to need to buy gas. Let's hit them where it hurts, in their pockets just like they are doing to us the American people. Let's take them to court and let them prove beyond a reasonable doult that they are not price gouging the public.
