Because they are incredibly good cars--expensive only because the factory uses only the best in hand-building each and every car. The Ferrari Corporation is revered in the world of Formula racing, and passes its F1 technology directly into its production cars. In the automotive world, they are the equivalent of works of art, and decades ahead of their time.

Anyone who says differently is an ignorant fool.

Ferraris are worshiped because they are: Exotic, Rare, Just plain cool. Until recent years Ferrari wasnt exactly known for quality, but they have gotten better. They are worth a ton of cash, but you get a really good car for that. You gotta pay to play.

ferraris are worshipped for a variety of reasons. sure there are always those that associate ferraris with status and nothing more. then there are the purists who understand the special racing heritage of the cars, etc. the reasons i love ferraris as opposed to other, let's say porsche, jaguar, etc. , is that they tend to be very sensual, harder to understand, yet serious machines:

1) italian design is simply the best in the world in most cases - absolutely inspiring! , 2) the design extends to the qualities of the exhaust note, , tactile qualities of leather, etc. 3) the driving experience in italian cars i have driven - alfa romeo and ferrari - tends to invoke a sort of driver participation more pronounced than other marques. i find it very easy to stick a ferrari in a wall if you try to drive it like you would a bmw or mustang. you have to coax it, throttle steer it more, understand the softer suspension, etc. it may sound corny, but you have to "caress" the car into performing....and when you know what you are doing it does!

They're decent cars but your paying for the name just like Harley Davidson, there are a lot better products out there for less money, I'd personally get an Aston Martin Vanquish, there are a lot less of them around than Ferraries and I think there superior, but I'm british so I may be prejudiced.

First off....they are a status symbol for the rich and famous....Also italian enginneering on this car is unsurpassed. They are generally regarded by many as the standard by which all other exotic cars are judged. Personally, the F410 is what i would be upon winning Lotto..
