There's a 1965 Thunderbird in my area that I basically fell in love with the second I saw it. I'm not a big car person, I know very little and typically don't care what I drive or what anyone else drives, but this one hit me like a thunderbolt.

This is what I know:

Exterior is black, very little damage.
The owner said the engine is a 390 from a 72 Thunderbird. There's some rust in the trunk.
It's been running forever, but lately something has been wrong, he's fairly sure it's the alternator which he claims is about $100 to fix.
He's asking $5,500 for it, it's negociable, and he's willing to pay for the repairs and the registration for serious offers.

Now, I'm not going to buy it based on this info. Since I'm pretty ignorant, I've asked my father to come take a look at it, talk to the owner and get all the other info that matters....

If everything turns out to be in working order, it's not a lemon etc.... is this a fair price? Does it sound too expensive? Too cheap?

These wheels can be folded up. I've seen trucks drive on the road with the wheels folded up or down on the road. I also noticed they can steer a bit.

i have a 92 mercury sable, and it over heats when im stopped, idling, or slowed down.

when i start going fast, like on the highway, it cools down. but when im stopped, the temp gauge keeps going up. theres water in the radiator coolant overflow tank, and sometimes when the car is really overheating, that liquid will bubble all the way to the top of the over flow tank.

ive had power ran directly to the radiator cooling fan and it doesnt come on. im wondering what causes the radiator fan to come on? i know theres a motor, but theres something that turns that motor on when the car is too hot.

im taking it to the shop tomorrow, but i dont want to pay the estimate fee.. so i was wondering if anyone can pinpoint what they think the problem is?

thanks a lot!! :)

I had someone jump my Jeep off. Come to find out they had 2 batteries instead of 1. Now my Jeep wont start just by turning the key. My key has sentry security on it so you have to have it in the ignition and on. But the Jeep wont start by turning the ignition. I have to push start it. Is my celinoid burnt up? Is my starter burnt up? Is my ignition burnt up? If I have to replace the ignition what about the key code?

I notice shoes on the side of the road in the state I live in now,but when I lived in CA. I saw an unbelievable amount. Does anyone have any ideas of why they are there? I thought maybe from car accidents, but I really don't think the clean up people would leave shoes.

Has anyone done this who can shed some light on it? I understand there are bolts already there that the hitch installs to. Where can I find these?

Something seems to be leaking. You clean it up, and it comes back.

I have noticed one time that a neighbors car went off once and as soon as they tried to reboot the alarm from going off again, they accidently shut it off completely having the car stolen for days. Thankfully the alarm was hooked up properly but really can this deter theifs from looking at it as an opportunity?

Have 1986 Toyota 4Runner 4x4. It had been overheating a little so I've been checking radiator & adding water if it needed it. Did not see any leaking underneath truck. This morning when I started it, there was a loud "Chunk" sound; I immediately turned it off. I restarted it and it sounded fine and I made a short errand. Now back at home, it will start, but there is water on my oil dipstick. I had remanufactured engine put in it last September and had no problems until this morning. Feedback appreciated.

The outside mirror on my chevy pickup is loose on it's horizontal piviot. Somebody must know a trick other than rolling down the window and adjusting it. I thought there might be something to swell the surrounding rubber and make it tight. Thanks
