Do you think the US would benefit from a rail system like they have in Europe? (Amtrak doesn't count...it's too expensive and has very limited routes!)

I owe more than my car is worth, would it be in my best interest to keep my car until it is paid off before I decide to trade it in?
Or should I just wait another year or two before I try and trade it in?

is it really that hard to just flip your hand over to the side a little and turn your blinker. It is so rude, it's just one of those simple things that really bug me,

I have a 1995 Mercury Tracer front wheel drive, 1.9L. There is a grinding, almost metal-metal, noise that is coming from the front driver side brake unit when I go and press on the brake. The pads are okay (over 60%) but are squealing too. I was thinking the CV system but I have test it and it seems fine. What gives?

My cassette deck is running but it has no tape in it. Now I cannot listen to the radio . I cannot just pull the fuse on the tape deck because it runs the radio too even though they are separate units. I think somebody got a tape stuck in the deck and this problem occured when they dug it out. I've looked in there with a flashlight and there is nothing left in the deck that should cause it to run but it does. I need a way to disable the tape deck so I can listen to the radio. Any help would be appreciated . Thank you

i drive a 2003 ford focus. the fan in the ventillation system arbitarily cuts out. if i leave it in the ON position for long enough after it gives out, it emmits this really acrid, foul odor. but if i turn it off and wait a bit, it turns right back on. it will work anywhere from a couple seconds to a couple hours. is this a known problem for this year/make/model? i'm hoping it's an easy fix. any suggestions to what could be causing this?

I own a 1988 Honda Accord (USED) just bought the other day and it has the appearance that it hasn't been driven in a while with the rust on the inside and such. I am just curious how to get my problem with the engine to stop. I installed a timing belt right before I put it on the road, so I need to know what the problem is. Also, how do I fix a short in the power windows & locks??

My cassette player recently devoured a tape. I got the tape out but now I have a problem. The cassette deck is running like it still has a tape in it and with it running I cannot listen to the radio. I don't care if the tape deck works or not , but , I would like to be able to listen to the radio. I need to find a way to disable the tape deck. I can't just pull the fuse because that works the radio too. Even though they are separate units the tape deck feeds off of the radio. Is there anyway I can get in there and unplug the tape deck from the radio? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
