Small Business - September 2007

I am a freshman in college, I have no job, and I have no financial help. I am living off money i saved waiting tables, and it is running out quickly.
Can i sell essays or short stories to web sites or publishers? What is the best way for me to start getting money for the things i write? How much money does one earn that does this for income? Any information will help. Thanks.

I sold a car on ebay on sunday i sent the buyer a message and they have not contacted me .So i have called them myself i asked for the person by name and she said yes then when i said you bought a car off me on ebay she said oh shes just going out i think she will be back in an hour im her sister which sounds like a load of toss to me what can i do ?can i relist my car

Are they real? Does anyone really get "financial freedom" through them? Why do they all say someone who has no interest or experience in selling can still do it? If the person has no interest in selling, why do they still push it? is anyone else irritated with these types of "businesses"?

Started a home business, but was unable to acquire license/rights to sell targeted product. Filed for and obtained EIN and Company name. What must I file with the IRS to let them know that the company is defunct? There was absolutely no revenue earned by the business before shutting down.

I want to start a home based business selling home decor. ive noticed that in the fabric stores they have alot of material, other items with animated characters from popular companies i dont want to mention. i want to use these fabrics in some of my work, sell it, but dont know if its legal. i know a little about copyrights laws, but im confused because the materials are in a fabric store, and the companies know people shop in fabric stores to use material to make, create new things.

Im starting up my own alcohol delivery service (similar to dial-a-drink), and the only thing preventing me is the distribution, but I had an idea that what if I were to hook up with other take-away/taxi drivers in the area, would they be able to (when avalible) come out and make my deliverys, for a call out charge of some sort? Where I work at an optometrist office, employee turnover is a lot 5 in a year on average. Everytime they hire someone its someone without experience that doesn't seem to have long gevity in mind. Now they hired one of those to cut glasses which is a fairly technical job and if its messed up customer service goes down fast. I am so tired of training new people without any exp. Also, I recently became certified as an optical assitant, (my job title is receptionist). I offered to do the assitant job when needed until the new person learns the lab fully then, pass on additional tasks to her as she is ready. Makes sense right? Good for the patients and us. Well my bosses looked at me like I was nuts and sort of blew me off. I am really frustrated at the whole situation. I have been here going on two years but it appears my suggestions aren't valued nor is my willingness to take on extra responsibility. Any suggestions?
