Hello,

My partners and I believe we have a very good Social Networking idea - however, we do not have the money to create a good site on the net. Does anyone have any good ideas of how best to "get investors"? We are not in the business field - any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!
Brad

I am currently a graduate student and am applying for internships at consulting firms for the next summer (graduating in 2009). However, one of the career counselors suggest I also consider VC firms that specialize in biotech/technology ventures. What kind of work would a PhD scientist do at a VC firm? How would I fit in? Thanks!

Have you ever been involved in the process of incorporating a PTA or PTO?
I would like to know if you went through the process of incorporation of a PTA or some other not for profit? What do you wish you had known at the onset? How did you find the attorney? Were there a lot of unexpected costs? Did you need to do a lot of teh legwork? How has it benefited your PTA/PTO?

if you have any knowledge on this matter I would appreciate it very much.

I'm starting a small business where I'll be the single owner of an LLC with no employees. I've been trying to decide if it's best to keep my LLC as a sole proprietor or fill out the forms so that I am considered a corporation. The government treats individual llc's as a sole proprietorship where the individual is responsible personally for the company's debts and liabilities. But I thought having an LLC keeps me from being liable for my company's debts and liabilities. I guess I'm kind of confused about how the taxation process goes for LLC's. If someone could help explain how that works and also to give advice as to which is better, the individual LLC or LLC as a corporation, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Whenever I see an icthus fish on billboards of local business or in restaurants, I'm encouraged to go. I know they are Christian people, and I think they are likely to be honest people. Whenever I see it on restaurant, I figure the kitchen is clean.

But that's me. I've actually heard many times other people saying it's ridiculous to have the fish on their ads and establishments.

I starting my own business, should I include the icthus fish on me business cards and office?

I'm new in eBay. I saw this item that caught my eye at a really low price. On the tab whereby it states the postage cost, it actually was free postage to Singapore. I find it quite hard to imagine since I live in Singapore and the location of the buyer is in United States.

I clicked on "ask the seller a question" button and asked about shipping cost. He said it is 35 dollars. Why is it stated as free? Is it a mistake or that the seller wants to cheat?

This is what is what I see.

Postage costs:
To Singapore -- FREE
USPS First Class Mail InternationalTM
Service to Singapore
(more services)

Or does it apply to "mail" only and not parcel? I'm really confused. On one hand I really want to bid on that item, while on the other, the seller doesn't seem trustworthy with conflicting information.

Ok, I will try and make it short. My husband has been running his own business for 2 years now. But, has had a finacial backer. Who is actually his boss. Now the BOSS wants to dump the bus. They say it is to much on them.
My husband is the only employee, and does all the work. All they have to do is bill and make sure the funds are there.
Would it be stupid of us to take it over ourselves?
Also, I am thinking that we could make more $$ if we did this.
Am I wrong? or right?
Any advice?
Let me add there is no over head except the truck payment and Ins.
Also Materials...
