A LOT of money, no. Extra cash? Yes.
It's a business, you get out of it what you put in. You have to be able to sell goods or a service. What you SELL depends on what you decide to do, and you better be enthused about it because it's work.
My website makes me about $5,000 a year, just with small items. It also helped me network with others who place orders by email. Best advice I can give is to do something you really enjoy, and don't quit your day job.

You can put nude pics up and charge twenty bucks a month to see those pictures. It's cheaper to do that than have printed material sent out. Then if enough people log on to your website sponsors would love to advertise on your site. The more people see your site the more sponsors want to invest. You could generate a lot of money from that.
