I understand that I can not set up a booth to have product at a location and sell it directly to a customer with Mary Kay. However, I am wondering what I CAN do...

1) Can I have a booth at a wedding show and let people sign up for a drawing and give away prizes?

2) Can I have a booth at a wedding show and demonstrate a product (such as a hand lotion)?

3)After demonstrating a product, can I take orders for the product, as long as they are later on delivered to the customer?

The applicable part of my Consultant Agreement reads as follows:

[I will.....] not sell or display products in retail sales or service establishments....

-AND-
I understand that the display or sale of Mary Kay products in a public, retail or service establishment of any kind is inconsistent with the terms of this agreement.

Help?

A friend is selling a business that does labour inside warehouses. Things like loading and unloading etc,

He 's been established for five years, and has good relationships with several warehouses.
His annual gross is $400,000.00, and there's no equipment.

What would be a reasonable offer for business?

Thanks.

I want to start my non-profit. I am now looking for a place to open it in. I was thinking to use a 2-3 story house, and convert it to a commercial space with some offices and what not. Do i need a particular permit to do that? Or can i just start constructing it for my non-profit?

Doing a business project and wondering if we should include utilities in the pro forma when all the workers work from home and there is no office. Business is based in New York City, if that makes any difference.

I've written a small windows application that would be very usefull to outdoor photographers, artists and film-makers.
I've put it up for sale on Ebay, but I don't feel this is likely to be the most efficient way to sell it, so I'm looking for other channels to bring the application to the market.
I'm thinking of making it available through download sites etc, but I'm wondering what other approaches there are.
The setup file is 7mb, so it's a reasonable download size, and I'm also prepared to distribute it on CD too.
Can anyone share their wisdom please?

I have started a "handyman" buisiness and will need liability insurance. First, why are so many companys not willing to quote? Second, I have a welder, I cant find anyone willing to quote for that at all, why not? Finaly, with regards to welding, I have heard the term "insured and bonded" how do you get bonded and what is it for?

I sell a product whose *universally* recognised name is a registered trademark (That doesn't meet TM requirements). The ones I sell are a competing brand so when I use the TM'd name in the item title, the TM owner gets ebay to remove the listings.

The entire range becomes unprofitable without the important key-word in the title.

RE: ebay item titles (In case you don't know) - They are where the ebay search engine looks for keywords searched for by potential buyers. If the word's not in the item title, they don't find my listings.

"Trade mark protection is only available for words which consumers would recognise as providing an indication of the origin of products or services. Once a word has entered common use, it may be used in relation to products or services offered by a range of providers."

I don't want to challenge the trademark, just get the owner to realise they're lucky to have it at all and could leave me to it! I don't mind other ebayers listings being removed, lol :)

These days there are a lot of online jobs on the internet where one has to open a website and post some adds from google and we get paid for the number of clicks the add gets. It seems the brainchild behind this is a company called COMMISSION JUNCTION. They give you cheques that can be encashed in any bank in the country. Please tell me if we can trust them and go ahead as I am intrested in one such offer?
