In order to "legally" prepare and sell any food item, you must have a health permit and prepare the food in a health department inspected and approved kitchen. In California, where I live, we can't even have bake sales for schools or churches or sell anything prepared in peoples homes - once money is charged for a food item, it becomes regulated by the health department. You could be fined.

This is shady. I wouldn't buy baked goods from any person that goes door to door selling them. Wouldn't it be easier to babysit or some other traditional job for a teenage?

Where would you be selling it? If you were selling it on the street I wouldn't buy it, you can't trust anyone these days! Maybe you can sell it to people you know, like your neighbors or family, they might buy it. Sell them for 50 cents or soo. Good luck!

Honestly?? I would pay $1.00 per cupcake, and .50 per cookie!! I think that's a fair price! ( :

HAHA, you won't make a dime unless you're in a church parking lot & the money goes towards charity. You'd have better luck w/ a yard sale.

Sure you could make money. Cake mixes are very cheap and so is oatmeal, if you make oatmeal cookies.

It also depends on where you sell them.
