I sold a computer on eBay, 100% working and even had a video recording of the computer being turned on and tested before it was sent out.

The buyer now states that the computer is DOA and is not working and is filing a paypal claim against me to receive his money back.

What should I do? Whos more at fault? I clearly stated that there are no refunds and I am not responsible for anything else, and assumed the buyer knew what he was doing and knew how to build computers.

Here is the eBay listing:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=330184034803&ssPageName=STRK:MESO:IT&ih=014

Heres the video recording:

I don't know what's gunna happen and who's side paypal will reside on! Please give me some useful tips! I can still say things on the dispute so help me on that too!

Me and a friend on mine love computers, and know how to build them and most everything about them. We decided we wanted to build PCs for local people, posting them on craigslist brand new. Will we make any profit? Would we have to start repair business too just to get a decent amount of money?

We are not certified in any way, is it illegal to work on peoples PCs if we arent certified? Thanks.

It appears as if the selling is quite simple to figure out, but it is not clear how I, as the seller, will recieve the money after the buyer pays with paypal. Do I get a check in the mail? How do I get the money from my sale?

I work the night shift and watch my kids during the day, so I think a stay-at-home internet business would be the perfect way to make a little cash on the side. The trouble is, most of the ones I check out sound like scams, or require a huge outlay of money for instruction books, etc. Are there any of these (besides Ebay, which I already do) that are legit?

Everytime I call them the phone is busy until after 5 which of course is too late. If someone actually recieved this product please let me know or else I'm going to report this company to BBB...no matter if it is only $20 or so bucks if someone is offering a product they should deliver this product. It's not professional or good customer service.

I've seen 2 people being interviewed on tv who claimed they earn so much from blogging but they didn't elaborate how. I'm quite good doing research, am a CPA and had vast experience in banking work, sales and some consultancy job. Am really interested in blogging which aside from sharing info, could give me some financial rewards. Am willing to receive small renumeration at the start, to progress as the work entailed becomes more complicated.

I am at a point of changing jobs at 56. I still look 10 years younger. My current position is bookkeeper/accounting part-time. I am thinking of going back to school for a new career in perhaps Medical billing. Will there be any point if I am too old to be hired? Are there any industries that pay well and welcome over 55's? Come on, you know they find out our age. Don't want to fight age discrimination. Just want well-paying, rewarding work.

I have been brainstorming and came up with an idea but i dont know if there is a need for it on the market. I want to start a magazine but I want to know if people really need or want that kind of magazine. So I am thinking of creating a focus group to see if people would buy my product or not but I dont want anyone to steal my idea so should I conduct one or just go for it with my idea and see if it flops. I mean thats the only way to research it is by finding out if there is a need for by doing a survey or conducting a focus group. What do you guys think??

I am a flight instructor and I am classified as an independent contractor with my flight school. I am not disputing the fact I am an independent contractor, I've signed papers declaring this and I receive a 1099 for wages. I would like to know if I can write off my driving expenses to and from the airport? I drive an hour to the airport and an hour home each day (all highway, a peaceful drive). I have a home office where I fill out logbooks, schedule flights, email students, make lesson plans, stay current with the ever changing aviation regulations, etc. I use my office quite often for work. How could I set this situation up so I can lessen the punch of high fuel costs by deducting my business commutes from my personal driving? I would like to do this so the IRS does not have a problem with it.

I've done online searches but could not find the information I needed. An answer from someone with experience in this field would be greatly appreciated.

To clarify the website. Its one of those sites which you pay a onetime fee of like 30 bucks, then you begin receiving surveys, and you are paid a certain amount for each survey you fill out.
