I have been brainstorming and came up with an idea but i dont know if there is a need for it on the market. I want to start a magazine but I want to know if people really need or want that kind of magazine. So I am thinking of creating a focus group to see if people would buy my product or not but I dont want anyone to steal my idea so should I conduct one or just go for it with my idea and see if it flops. I mean thats the only way to research it is by finding out if there is a need for by doing a survey or conducting a focus group. What do you guys think??

Its up to you, I have found that with everything I have done it is just better to put your stuff out there even if some one is going to steal it. Theres always that chance but I haven't had a idea of mine stolen yet. Also remember that you can always come up with other ideas, if you work hard at it. I might want to add that I have never put something out there for profit so I don't know for sure what would happen.

I think there's a lot of unsold magazines out there, so it might be worth your while to create a focus group.

You should apply for a patent before trying out your idea so that way no one can steal your idea while doing your test group.

Initially do a focus group.
Just make sure that your focus group is diverse enough.

hard to do - start a new magazine! go to any book store and look to see how many magazines are out there and you'll prpbably find a few to many with your idea in it
