I sold a computer on eBay, 100% working and even had a video recording of the computer being turned on and tested before it was sent out.

The buyer now states that the computer is DOA and is not working and is filing a paypal claim against me to receive his money back.

What should I do? Whos more at fault? I clearly stated that there are no refunds and I am not responsible for anything else, and assumed the buyer knew what he was doing and knew how to build computers.

Here is the eBay listing:

Heres the video recording:

I don't know what's gunna happen and who's side paypal will reside on! Please give me some useful tips! I can still say things on the dispute so help me on that too!

Make sure they return the goods first - talk with paypal to ensure this. Make sure it is returned in the same packaging you sent it, so you know it is returning in the same state it was sent....

Have you seen how mail companies treat packages - they aren't always gentle

eBay has the answers you need. Go to the web site and read the information about being a seller, what you are bound by, and how to prevent this from happening.

You want to watch people like this. Similar situations are probably discussed on the discussion boards on the site. A person thinks he can say the item is broken and wants his money back. He ends up with a working computer and cash in his pocket.

If your auction plainly stated that there were no refunds, and you packed the item properly, then I wouldn't worry too much.

If you're in the right, why are you so nervous? Are you hiding something?
