For most jobs it is. The most I have seen to start is $35 an hour but if you are getting a job that pays salary you might start at more depending on the profession.
In unskilled labor minimum wage is normal and $10 is considered good.

Assuming you work 8 hours a day, 200 days a year (which is about average for a full-time job. That makes your annual salary $48,000.

Is that a good starting wage?

Depends on your education, experience and what the job is.

If you're a college graduate with a professional degree it is not a good starting wage.

If not, especially if you don't have any experience, it's pretty darn good.
