I understand that I can not set up a booth to have product at a location and sell it directly to a customer with Mary Kay. However, I am wondering what I CAN do...
1) Can I have a booth at a wedding show and let people sign up for a drawing and give away prizes?
2) Can I have a booth at a wedding show and demonstrate a product (such as a hand lotion)?
3)After demonstrating a product, can I take orders for the product, as long as they are later on delivered to the customer?
The applicable part of my Consultant Agreement reads as follows:
[I will.....] not sell or display products in retail sales or service establishments....
-AND-
I understand that the display or sale of Mary Kay products in a public, retail or service establishment of any kind is inconsistent with the terms of this agreement.
Help?

1) Yes, I've seen it over and over again. I actually "won" a facial right before my wedding (although I think everyone in the drawing did, too)
2) Same answer as above, really. I have seen a Mary Kay booth at every wedding show I have ever been to.
3) Most certainly...You're also likely to book in-home shows (possibly even bridal showers!) while discussing the product with your clients.
I think the clauses in the Consultant Agreement are specific to opening a regularly staffed retail location...they don't want Mary Kay stores or kiosks at the mall. Bridal shows usually require an admission fee, which makes it a private event, so you're completely within your rights according to these clauses.

I dont know how much help I can be...I am an AVON Rep.
As long as you buy your products...you can do whatever you want with them. You can even open your own store. I fyou want to have a raffle...go ahead...if you want to have a booth go ahead. Its your money and your percentage. If you really have any questions, ask your district manager for sure. I dont know what Mary Kays Policies are....but AVON's are great

As far as your consultant agreement...it says that you can not...let say...put your products in a drug store that carries other makeup....or sell AVON and MaryKay in the same place...as long its just Mary Kay...I think you are in the clear
