A degree in Finance and/or Accounting can lead to some very high paying jobs. Both degrees are useful for many high paying Wall Street careers, including Sales and Trading, Investment Banking, Financial Management, Equity Research, etc.
Those degrees can also lead to administrative positions in the corporate world, up to and including positions such as CAO, CFO, and CEO.
Those degrees can also be useful in the fields of Management Consulting and even in Information Technology.
Heck, a degree in Finance could even lead you into the world of politics. John Corzine has an MBA and was a Bond Trader at Goldman, eventually rising to the position of CEO of Goldman Sachs, and then on to Governor of the state of New Jersey.

i'm interior the IT field. i've got had extra assignments with regards to accounting applications than I easily have in finance. i might bypass with the accounting minor - in case you intend to be a programmer once you graduate, you will use it extra, and be extra employable.
