Renting & Real Estate - October 2007

They used to live next door but moved out-of-state and gave no address, only phone number. They have family that picks up checks and cuts the lawn but we don't have their numbers OR addresses... I would think that we would be within our rights to have either an address for them or a phone number for the in-town family for prompt payment and reporting of problems...

My friend and I want to move in an apartment. But the thing is, is that I have bad credit and I know I wont get approved. But I'am currently working on it to get it fixed, but it's going to take a long time, and I really need to move and get an apartment becaues I'm finishing college and its far from home. Anyways shes fine with having it under her name, and I know u cant do that. BUt would they really be checking the apartments for people that arnt suppose to be there? Its a really big apt complex. Just need some opionion cuz I dont want her to get into any trouble.

Okay me and my boyfriend signed a lease on a townhouse with our "friend". Since this time we have learnt he has a pretty bad soft drug problem and now relies on our neighbor, who we think is a prostitute, for drugs supplies. We're also pretty sure she's involved with harder drugs too.

This situation is pretty horrible and I would love to get out of this lease asap.

How simple would it be? Any way of regaining our deposit?

The apt's are real nice..and have Full bath 2 and 2 bedroom..nice forrest area..I love it..But..I was snooping thru apt reviews omg..The ppl things said..About the place..
I have not signed the lease yet? What would you do.Belive those ppl..or risk it..and live in HELL..for next one year..?

I was looking for a place to move my trailer, when my landlord said she was evicting me. She found out I was looking for a place and someone called the NAACP on her for her saying and I quote, "You will never see a N_ _ _ _R in my park". She evicted me and told me it was because I was the one that called. My 10 yr told her who it was who it was. Now the crazy woman, will not trim down these nasty bushes that I have been begging her to cut down, that grow like a tree around my trailer and over my trailer. The trailer can not be moved unless the tree/bush is removed off it and she refuses to do it. I have this land and permits and all ready to move my trailer the heck away from this nutcase and it can't be move. Can I legally cut down the bushes? Can she hold me hostage and harrass me further with this? What can I do? She gave me a 5 day eviction on Sept. 26th. And is demanding I pay for October. I want out

I'm currently in the process of refinancing my home. A different loan company gave me an option of a 5/1 ARM, 1 org pts, and at 6.125%. The papers are ready to sign, but I just checked my credit union and I found a 5/5 ARM, 0 org pts, and at 5.625%. What should or can I do?

I recently walked out on a lease without ever living there. I found out that one of the bedrooms were illegal and the apartment was legally to small for 4 people. We havent got any of our money back. We were told that the landlord has violated the Security act and the Consumer Fraud act. I want to Cite both of these acts but I cant find anything on the Fraud act. I can only find info on the sale of real estate but nothing on leasing apartments. Any help?

The landlord actually admitted to knowing the apartment was illegal in his Answer to my lawsuit. But he said I signed a lease.

Okay...Im Thinking about getting a little Flat for myself
near my boyfriends house soon...but Im stuck...i dont have a job because im doing my GCSE's and i just want to be near my boyfriend so much. What does it take to move out? Like theres a flat i want and its £210 per week. What would i have to do to Move in to that flat? Someone told me to pay like 3 months of rent for deposit or something... =S Sorry if this question Don't make any sense...Haha. =]
