Last night a piece broke/cracked on the water boiler and our basement flooded (over a foot of water).
I am renting a town home. I called the leasing agent this morning and instantly the manager got defensive
Stating “The maintenance guy stated that someone broke it”!
I wanted to know who? That’s not what was said last night by maintenance.
I have two kids ages 11 & 13 and we’ve been living there for 3 years.
My kids came home from practice and heard the water coming out in the basment and called me at work.
We have a lot of things that was ruined.

Is the landlord responsible to reimburse me for the items that got ruined because of the water boiler?
Is this something that I have to chalk up and suffer?
I don't have renters insurance!

Is this for real, or just another scam? Does your credit rating enter into the picture on whether or not you qualify?

i don't quite understand when i read the news articles, although i know it's probably complicated. does it have to do (basicly) with the types of loans that were offered? or with the prices of homes?

But someone told me it was the landlords responsibillity to pay. I have been paying for both for two years and I would like to know if I can leagally ask to get reimbursed from my landlord. If so how should I go about doing this?

This is going to sound really silly, I'm trying to verify a story told to me that I don't think is true but someone told me their name was misspelled on the title & insurance and that when they refinanced the first loan wasn't paid off as it should have been so they're able to walk away from their home now free and clear. This is in the state of GA. True or not?
Also, is there a list that shows homes in foreclosure in GA?
Thanks!

I can hear the family upstairs having a shower/flushing toilet because the pipe runs down the wall (in a box) next to my bed and wakes me up at 5am every morning.

Seems weird for a 'luxury' appartment.

I complained and they said too bad I signed the contract.
(rental agreement).

I came home and found a 60 day notice on my front door about a month ago that said we have to be out nov 14. I have made arrangements to move. My mom is the one thats on the lease. she has not been home for 6 months and she left me and my roommate here. I was all set to move and get out of this situation when i come home from work today and find a 3 day notice on our door. It was not sent certified mail. its a copy not an original and all it has is the landladys signature. I am not going to be able to get all my stuff out in 3 days let alone all my moms crud shes left here. Im wondering if it is legal to serve a 3 day when we have the 60 day notice. I called my roommate to ask what could have happened because a week ago the landlady told her everything was ok. and she called her yesterday and the lady told her my mom sent her the wrong check and it was postdated because my roomate is a truckdriver and she left checks for the next few months and she grabbed next months

I want to sell my home and acreage in South Texas without paying a 3%-6% commission. Is there a way to list it online?

I looked up for sale by owner, but I would still have to pay the buyers realtor commission, I don't want to do that. I am going to sell the property for over $1 million, and don't want to have the high fees.

Hi,
We are having a Bat Mitzvah for my daughter in 3 weeks (Nov.3rd) at an area catering hall. Now we have found out that the hall is closing in Jan. - My wife went crazy- and can you blame her.
The are assuring us that it will be OK and a great party but we are very concerned. Should we find another place if we can- or trust them- as they have been in Biz for 35 years and have a great reputation. They sold the land to a developer. Thanks!!!!!

I would really appreciate some insight here. My Fiance and I contacted Wells Fargo to obtain a mortgage for 70,000 for a home we are looking to purchase. The mortgage guy I talked to said we should try a FHA loan. His credit score is 562, we would be putting $10,000 down and have $5,000 for closing cost ect. So what is a FHA loan and will we get one with his score and the money we have for a down payment???? Any help would be great!!!! Thanks...........Oh by the way he has no judgments, no forecloser, and all student loans were paid off 5 years ago.
