We (myself and boyfriend) are trying to purchase our first home. (Due to get married in Dec.!!) Problem is - - when we applied for a loan the loan office wanted to see his Tax form. He gets a 10/99 tax form and it only shows he make $6000 a year..when he really makes around $30-35. Not to mention tips ect,. He works in a nail shop and each week they do not take taxes from him when he gets paid. They do everything at the end of the year...and his boss only claims that he makes $6000 so he wont have to pay as much at the end of the year. My question is how can we prove what he really makes when the State shows he only make $6000? Is this common? Pls someone that knows their stuff!!!

I'VE HAD SOME PROBLEMS AND NOW I GOT TO LEAVE MY HOUSE BUT I HAVENT PAYED IT OFF.

In a verbal agreement with my mother and the landlord. I took over rent in our house. I was never presented with a lease or a contract of any kind. There is no verbal or written. Set date to when the rent is due. I usually pay it around the 10-12th and he seems to have no problem with it. Never says anything to me about it. Anyway this month is tight and I wont be able to make rent until the 14th. Ill have the money that afternoon. Is that too late you think? He has never said i want the rent on the first or before the 20th or anything like that. No specific date.

Agents did the references and reported back to us.This happened in Mid July and they wanted to move in last week.They also wanted whole lot of furnitures left behind,which we agreed.We moved out a week before,but on the day they were supposed to pay deposit/one month rent and move in,they phoned up the agents saying"due to unforeseen circumstances" they cannot proceed with renting it.
I dont know whom to blame and what to do next...
Any advices??

The house has been on the market for atleast a year. We had planned on waiting a few more months to buy but the house has been reduced again and I'm afraid someone else will buy it. The real estate agent who showed us the house said that it is a foreclosed property and that he is handling the sale for a mortgage company in California (the house is in Alabama). The listing price of the house is roughly 2/3 of what the real estate agent claims the house has been appraised for, so it seems like a really good deal.

The problem: my credit sucks...about 530 and my husband's is around 520...and we can only come up with around 5% for a down payment. We are first time home buyers, have good jobs with the same company for 2 years, and can easily afford the mortgage payments.

Would it be possible to pay less down because the value of the house is so much more than the amount we want to borrow?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Myself and my girlfriend are finally looking to purchase a first home,We have a combined yearly wage of $70 000 and $16 500 for a deposit,looking around the $275 000 to $300 000 (Hopefully) Has anyone recently financed a home with this sort of money and deposit? and was it easy or needed work?

My husband and I are having to relocate due to his job moving . We have a house that we owe 115,000.00 on and a 25,000.00 second morgage. It has the VA Loan guarentee on it as well. We have a 2.5 yr old bankruptcy it was done before the law was changed so we kept our home. We have owned this place for 7 years. We would not be able to keep the house if he was to take the severance package as the town we live in is limited in the jobs that he could take. Our payments are currnently 970.00 for the first and 300.00 for the second.

Is there a way to get rid of this house somehow and be able to qualify for another fixed rate loan with the VA guarentee? We have 2 kids and one on the way. We also have three dogs and 4 cats that we would like to keep as they are all very old.

Please help!

Hi I was curious about the what can be done if you just bought a house and have joint mortgage but are no longer going to be with the person you bought it for. The money is supposed to come from me, the money for the down payment was mostly from me. I was curiuos what are my legal rights to the house? The 1st monthly payment is alomst due and i don't know what to do please help!

I moved out of my apt. on July 28, and I have done everything by the books, including sending my forwarding address via certified mail to my old landlord. I used the address where I was sending all of my rent checks - taht were, of course, cashed. However, the mail came back as "unclaimed." Now what? Will I have a case against her - or does this prove she never got my forwarding address to send the money? I live in Indiana, and we have a 45 day rule. I'm on day 37 and haven't heard anything from her. Suggestions?
