If you are talking health wise it almost certainly safe to do so. Electric fields decay extremely rapidly with distance. Unless your bedroom is only 5-10 feet from the line it really isn't an issue.

If you are talking about perception and re-sale value, then it certainly could affect how quickly and for how much depending on how close it is. Many people think it is unsafe to live that close to power lines (not even knowing how much juice is going through them).
