Since the loan market went to a shared loan strategy there are lots of foreign investors that have money in the sub prime markets. They are eating ssss right now and Bush's bail out is just political BS. The only people that will benefit from this are Bush's friends in big business. If some of them are from Britain or Europe then they have the fore-site to be associated with the biggest crook in the world. Guess who? so they will be partially protected. But nobody is winning right now and the usual swing time on something like this is 5 to 7 years.
Country wide is estimating a 25% reduction in originations for next year. That's really conservitave. They are trying to keep their stock holders from panicking. And they are laying off 12,000 people in the next month. Tell me things are not going to get worse.!!!!
