I signed a contract to buy my first house, seller also signed. One week later, list agent called me that seller wanted to withdraw from this contract, no written so far. (FYI, I don't have agent.)

I live in Washington State, the contract is the standard one used in this state, the only coningencies with the contract are: inspection and financial.

We really like the house, we are looking around over a year already.

Your opinions are very much appreciated.

I'm looking at apartment rentals in a newspaper classifieds section, and a lot of the listings say "agent interest."
For example:
TRACY DR. — Completely remodeled, 2 bedroom, 1 bath, $550, gas and water paid. Call Karen, 309-827-2075. Agent interest.

What does "agent interest" mean?

Our house is under my husband's name only for now. Since we are planning to refinance the house, could I add my name on the title as well? If so, how do I prepare for that?

Thanks,
Gina

I have a mountain property and need to find my boundaries. I know that surveyors have expensive GPS equipment. I am wondering if a GPS you can buy at the outdoor store, can be used to locate
the corners of my property.
What brand shall I buy?
No dumb answers please--if you don't own a GPS and don't know what you're talking about, please don't answer.

My son asked me to put My Name on his mortgage for one year . He say's he can refinance in a year and take on the mortgage
at a better rate. The question is I have credit and he doesn't. So reliability is My Concern.
If he misses or is Late with a payment can I legally have it written up that if in fact it does happen I can get out of the deal and he would have to take on the Mortgage at the Higher rate?

My friend plans on selling his house in the next year. He wants to know if it is worth while to refinance his mortage now or not to bother and just wait for the sale of his house.

He has an adjustable rate mortage.

Lemme know what you think.

For years my husband and myself want to have a vacation home by the ocean, whether it be in North Carolina or South Carolina.
My co-worker has a trailer, mobile home, in a resort, camping groud, in SC. Some of these are permanent on a site which you pay a lease on, but buy the actual structure.
I got a list of the trailers that are for sale, and they seem so cheap! Sleeps 8, for $49K??? Some of these are real nice too!
But what is the resale value of these properties? Are they easy to get rid of them when you want to sell?
I would assume that insurance is high, along with flood insurance.
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Oh, any suggestions on other areas would be great too! Looking not to spend a whole lot. Even a fixer upper would be fine.

My sisters boyfriend just bought a house. She has not had any decision making abilities and no say so in any of the shopping, buying, decorating, etc. of the purchase of the house and everything in it. He asked her to move in with him. They both have steady jobs but he makes about 3 times more than she does. How should they handle the bills, including mortgage, groceries, utilities, etc.?

character of houses built a generation or two ago. Can you put your finger on it? Is it the cookie cutter approach to building, with everything looking the same inside and out? The neighborhood, or lack of neighborhood replaced by suburban developments? The light? The attempt to duplicate style with imitations?

I bought a home for $258,000 last year, now the market sucks and other homes like it are selling for $232,000. It is also hard to rent, everyone has a place for rent. The payments are killing me. Should I take a loss now or will things improve?

I live in Ontario Canada. We currently rent out a home to tenants. I was wondering if it is legally binding to state on the rental agreement that if the tenant is unable to pay on the 1st of the month, the landlord has the right to evict the tenant by mid-month or the end of the month. That is to say, the landlord has full possession of the home by that time and can legally remove the tenant and replace them with new tenants without the usual 60 days notice.

Thanks.

I'll be leaving Michigan and leaving an empty house behind that I can't sell. A guy called me wanting to assume payments until it does, so long as I sign over the deed to him. The loan will still be in my name. What is the risk here?
