2 answers here if you are asking who to hire - go with the top producing agent in your area (look for losts of signs) don't worry about the company, just interview several and make sure you are comfortable and confident in them.
If you are asking where to work: Hands down, Keller Williams. The best training in the industry, profit sharing, you are only on a split to a certain amount then you keep 100% commission, and best of all the culture. Unlike other brokerages where it is everybody for themself, top agents share with new agents how they got where they are, so you don't have to reinvent the wheel. My cap is 22K in my market center, I made 20K in profit share last year, so I paid 2000 to my broker last year. It is now my 3rd year in the industry and thanks to the training and systems (that the GIVE you FREE) I have made 6 figures a year for the last 3 years. It is a no brainer to me. My husband was a top producing agent with R*/MAX and we did the math on how much he paid them... it was sad how much money he gave to them. Same with traditional brokerages (like C*1) where you are on a split forever, lets use 80/20 for example. If you did 6M in production the you would pay your broker 36K for that year..... And E*it the 'residuals' are you pay 10% of your commissions to whoever recruits you in, forever, the only way you get residuals are for you to recruit people in (oh and they have to sell houses too)...

It depends on what you are looking for them to do for you?
Some Companies require if you are new to work with a seasoned agent. Others have a 2 week course and tell you you will have your first sale in 30 days.
Other offices offer you a desk, phone, internet, copies, and inhouse services for a monthly fee.
You must weigh all these factors. I would visit each office of the companies you are interested in. If you lived in Indiana I could recommend a company, but I could also recommend a company or two in California.
I have been in the real estate field for 16 years and am aware of what most companies offer.
