Our landlord suddenly informed us that he has put our house that we are renting on the market. We have about 6 months left on our 1 year lease. Can he sell our house out from under us? Do we have to live with people coming to look at the house all the time? We cant afford to move right now, and we have a 3 year old daughter.. what should we do?

A friend of mine did this once. He was friendly with a guy who knew the landlord of the house that was being rented across the street. After the tenants broke a window in his house, he did some research. Seems the landlord that owns the house across the street is in the hospital. On top of that he's one of those landlords that you never meet and has a middleman do the screening and contracts. So he borrowed his bosses porche and went over there and told them he was the landlord and they needed to go. The people never questioned it and actually moved out in 3 days.

How can I pull off something similiar with crazy neighbors of mine that play loud music, leave their barking dogs out all hours of the night, and party guests pissing on my lawn???

Not Kidding Here.

I am in the Army and my wife is in civil service. We have placed a bid and it was accepted on a home in GA. I am stationed in Hawaii. My wife is going to transfer to Ga and i will be deploying to Iraq later this year. We were pre approved, now the lender is asking for a letter of employment for my wife because she is going to GA. The problem is the jobs in GA have to open the positions to the public before they offer the position to my wife and cannot give a letter till then. This will put us past closing. Are there lenders out there that will understand the situation? Home Banc doesnt seem to understand.

I am 20 years old, been living with my parents all these years! I want to get a apartment! I been going to school but now I took off for awhile so I can work. I start a full-time job next week paying $9.50/HR. I have OK credit. My boyfriend will be moving in with me, so he will also pay half of the rent. The place is $985/MO. Am I going to be able to get a apartment? I also make some money off of eBay. This will be my first time getting a apartment. I am looking to move very soon! Any helpful tips will be good. Let me know!

Hello, we are thinking of buying a small home in a community where the land is leased. They give you a lease for the entire term of the mortgage and on... Will lenders have a problem with this? Would I more likely need a commercial lender?
The lease fees cover real estate taxes, grounds, snow and trash removal.
Any recommendations?

Do they have to follow the same guidelines that a private owner must follow which state that they would have to decide on whether or not to accept one offer prior to looking at others, or can they take multiple bids and pick the highest bidder?

Note: I am a REALTOR, so I am not looking for answers from REALTORS hyping themselves up, I am trying to get a general sense of how the public feels about us. There seems to be a lot of negativity towards REALTOR's, and don't understand why. Just looking for the general publics point of view. Thanks!

If you do, I'd really like your help. I'm trying to find some space for rent so I can open up my own store. I don't have very much money to start off, though, and the only thing I could find so far was the Save-A-Lot in Hernando, and from what I heard, it's around 12,250 per month. I definitely don't have that much. When I lived in Arkansas, I leased a store for 400 per month, which was great. So now I'm looking to lease for around 400-500. If you know anything, I'd really appreciate it.

I moved into an apartment Aug 2005 and signed a one year lease. In Aug 2006 my lease was up and I was never asked to sign another one. I guess that means I've been a month to month tenant since then. This month I had to pay my rent a few days late due to my paydays and received a three day notice, which I expected. When I opened it, it stated that the rental amount which had previously been 900.00, was now 999.00. I received nothing from them prior to this. Is it legal to raise your rent without any advance notice in writing?

What do I do to get my things back. My loan is through US Bank and I can't get a hold of the right people. I don't even know how they can do what they did. We got most of our things out and moved in November. They changed the locks on our previous home about 2 months ago. I thought I had at least 6 months before being foreclosed on. I never received notice that they were foreclosing on me, no sherriff's papers, nothing. I went to the house and noticed that the locks were changed. Only the house, the garage is still the same, and I have 2 cars in there. I still haven't been served any papers. I have not received anything, but my parents seen it in the local paper. My mom has seen it at least 3 times, in a month. I don't know what to do... Oh and I forgot to mention we are in the middle of a bankruptcy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
