Is that enough of a reason for me to be able to get out of my lease?

I don't want to live in a building where people are robbing apartments all the time.

Guys,

I am looking to purchase a house in the next 60 days. My loan will be about 400k, my credit is 790, my salary is above the average.

My broker has quoted me around 5.875...He has told me this about 2 months now. I have seen the apr for 30 year fixed go down, how come my rates isn't going down? Is there a history that I can print out and show him? I have looked on bankrate, but couldn't find anything.

Any advice would be helpful.

My husband and I are getting ready to rent a house in Oklahoma. A guy he works with wants to rent it, and my husband doesn't want to make him sign a contract. He tries to tell me we have more rights if we don't have one, but I think it's a horrible business decision. They could tear the house up and we would have no recourse. He insists he knows the guy and they will take good care of the house. Does anyone know anything about this? What rights would we have if we didn't sign a contract? Are there really any benefits to this?

I want the semi next door as a sort of granny annexe for my parents as they're getting on a bit. There is the possibility of aorund £100K (from their house) to part finance - assuming it goes for £180K - that would be relatively easy to finance but in case that doesn't come off - they may not want to move for a few more years but I'd still like to do it...
Tricky I know but worth while if it can be done.

In my approval letter it states that the seller will pay all closing costs and prepaids. So the money the seller pays will that come off of the amount I finance or be added to the amount financed. Example: 100,000 closing cost/prepaids 5000 would that be 95,000 financed or 105,000. I'm a first time buyer and really confused. Help ME Please.

I am a first time home buyer. I paid everything that my Mortgage broker told me to pay (outstanding debts, etc.) and showed him letters to prove it. He tells me" O.K. Let me report this to the credit bureau and see what kind of numbers we get, I will get back to you in 72 hours." If 2 bureaus already had my score over 620, then what is he doing? Please I need some insight. (By the way), thanks for all of the great comments and suggestions to my other questions regarding this matter.

We see how the prices on homeowners Insurance and property taxes have gone up as much as 400% with no end in site, is there anyone that has any good news or MORE news on these topics or others. The schools systems seem very good, as least from what we see. Employment oppurtunities seem high, parks and rec are good, etc. but we just want to make sure we are covering all the bases.. to put your future in the answers of a realtor (not to be mean) doesn't make me feel too comfortable. Our friends who live down there say alot of higher costs are going to be heading down the pipeline due to the fact that the grandfather clauses that where intact will not be there for tax shelters to people who do not own already.. there just seems like to much to digest!

My old roommate moved out with no notice (and no rent), forcing me to find a subletter. I found a suitable roommate on Craigslist, and my name is still the only one on the lease. Aside from being a complete weirdo, she's an ok roommate, and we haven't had any major issues.

We live in NYC. My sister just got an internship here, lasting for two months this summer, and being that I live here, I told her she could live with me for the two months. When I told my roommate, she FLIPPED OUT, stating that I shouldn't have done this without asking her. To me, there is nothing to ask; my name is on the lease (her's isn't), it's my apartment, and she's subletting from me. And, what was I going to do, leave my sister stranded in a city of 8 million people? Of course she can live with me!

Am I wrong? I think that my telling her two months in advance was more than considerate--after all, I could have kicked her out outright! I need some unbiased thoughts.

Thanks!

Okay, so in January I informed my landlord that I would no longer be living in my apartment along with my rent check that month. I later sent her to more letters stating I would not be renewing my lease. Finally I hear from her today stating I would need to stay in the Apartment until June because I never sent her a certified letter! Does anyone have any sort of advice for me!? I do not want to pay two months of rent in a place that I will not be living in!

I cold call apartments in the evenings seeking anyone thinking about buying a home in the next year. They generally don't mind the call, I'm not trying to sell them a vacuum or life insurance, I'm just asking if they've thought of buying in the next year.

I'm looking for any tips from anyone who might do this or maybe anyone living in an apartment right now, if you received this call how would you like to be approached?

We bought it 10 plus months ago. Since than we found that it leaked into the bathroom. We found estimates to repair around 1000.00 and to replace roof 3600.00. There is also, the bathroom ceiling. The floors need resanding and repair (original hardwood). House was built in 1942. Upgrades are needed all over. We want to sell and leave the area. However, finding someone to purchase with a 80/20. Total owed is $120,0.00 1st and 30,000.00 on the 2nd. Being held by the previous owner. We would like to get at least $5,000.00 to move on. What are the options? We are open to any suggestions. Please.

We are looking for a house (house is preferred over an apartment if we can find one) to rent in Dickson, Tennessee. A small, 1 bedroom house would be okay at this point because it will be just us and we are looking for something less than $500 a month.

We were just wondering what the best way is to find a house for rent since neither of us have ever had to look on our own before now.

Newspaper, ask around, etc.?

Thank you! :)

With all the subprime mess going on right now, how will this affect my chances of getting into a house with no down. My credit score is 680 but I'm a little weary on how lenders will treat me with all that is happening right now in the mortgage arena.

We are looking to rent a home in our area. We want to contact a realtor, as they have many more listings than craigslist or the newspaper. Does anyone know about how much to expect in realtor fees?

Someone told me that they rented a house with the help of a realtor, and it cost them $2400. Someone else told me the help of their realtor was free, and that the homeowner paid the fees.

Does anyone know who, if either, is right? Both of these guys are known for "exaggerating" the truth ~ so I'd like to get someone who actually KNOWS the answer.

If it helps, I live on the Jersey shore. Thank you!!!
