Rights as far as what? Need more information. If you inherited a mobile home and not the real estate attached, you sell the thing if you dont want it. The estate is responsible for handing out assets, not debt, so you dont want a mobile if its not worth what is owed. Make sure you didnt inherit a liability since mobiles are hard to sell.

I don't know about your rights, however we purchased a mobile home a few years ago, and found out a few months later, that the previous owner had borrowed money against it. We paid cash for the mobile, and had moved it to our farm. When the mortgage company found out where it was, they came to our place, hooked on to it, and pulled it away. There was nothing we could do. We were able to get out our belongings out--but lost all of the purchase price. Maybe you could check with your attorney, I would hate to see anything like this happen to anyone else. Good Luck!

Just kidding. You should find out what the lease requirements are in the park it is in. you are legally liable for the lease. You might be able to break the lease (depending on the park) and move the home. or you could sell it outright.

What specific rights were you looking for? You can sell, encumber as you wish. Might not own the land it sits on. If it's in a park, you are subject to the rules of the park. IF on a piece of property, subject to the zoning laws if any of the county.

You are now the proud owner of a mobile home. Do with it as you please. Sell it, live in it, rent it out, or just fill it with junk and look at it -- it's your choice.
