Providing you have no related purchase which will use the proceeds of sale your solicitor should ask you how you would like the money due to you; whether you want it paid by cheque into your bank or whether you want them to send it by telegraphic transfer direct into your bank account - which is an 'instant' transfer but may take a hour or so to go through the system. If you chose to have the money sent to you by telegraphic transfer there will be a fee charged by your solicitor of about £27-£30. Speak to your solicitor and ask them the way you would like the money sent to you and give them your bank details if you want it sent by telegraphic transfer to get it the same day.

Hope this helps.

When the property completes the money goes to your solicitor and he will pass on to you. Watch the timings in the day as payments done after certain times might happen a day later. Check with your solicitor how they are going to transfer the funds as bacs take 3 days and chaps are same day but cost.

It will be on the same day. It will all go into the solicitors account, who will then filter it out to you, but it's all instant, ie, a few hours.

You will usually be told to be ready to move at 12, and you'll be waiting for the call to tell you it's all go. We got our call at 11, to say our money was received, so off we went to get our keys.

On the same day if your solicitors method of payment is money transfer to your account, else you will recive a cheque for the balance sent to your new address or collected from the solictor's office.

It seems all the previous answers came from the UK. If you are in the US, the proceeds from a sale will be available next day. You will need to tell the title company to call you when your check is available for pick-up, otherwise, they will mail it to you, which will take another day or two.

You get your money on the day of completion. Ring your solicitor on that day and do not hand over your keys until your solicitor has the money.

Immediately. Completion means exactly that - everything is complete, final, end of story.
