I am moving from another country to the SD or ChulaVista areas with my family (wife and 3 children ages 16,13 and 6) and would like to somehow maintain my living standard (house of aprox. 2,300 sq. ft, 2 cars, medical and general insurance, scools, etc.)
I mean aproximate quantity per month I would need? I have a job, but have doubts if the pay will be enough. Maybe it would have to be more than 50,000 USD or 60,000 USD per year.?

I have been in the Real Estate business about 2 years & with the market cooling off I would love to stay in the industry. So I would like any feedback you think would be useful.

and I am not happy with the advertising. We have held 2 open houses with no activity. How long am i obligated to list with this company? (I am in Michigan). I know the market is slow but we are desperate to sell. I feel another realtor would do a better job but I do not want to get into anything that is not legal. There is no communication from my realtor and she acts like she could care less. I would like to switch. Any suggestions?

My husband has HORRIBLE credit, can I leave him off of the mobile home contract? He has no criminal record or anything , or do you think he would disqualify us both if we're using my income and I have o.k credit? thanks

When we first saw the sales disclosure, the seller indicated that the plumbing had no defects. Upon inspection, we learned that the pipes leading to one shower had been cut and the water was turned off. This is because there had been a leak and the floor under the shower rotted as a result. Secondly, the seller indicated that he was not aware of any damage due to termites. The inspection yielded damage in more than one place. We've yet to determine the significance of the damage, but the seller knew it was there, because he's the one who discovered it and, ultimately, placed the house under contract with a pest control company. Now I'm wondering what my options are, because I'm ready to walk away, but I know he'll try to keep my earnest money. Shouldn't he be responsible? By the way, his agent is my agent. She's obviously on his side, so she's of no use to me.

In Feb. 2006, I paid in full and on time the rent to my landlord for a Michigan rental property. The rent check was not cashed within the standard thirty days and when the check was attempted to be cashed (well over three months later from the original check date) it had bounced. My landlord is now (March 2006) asking for back payment on the rent. What kind of recourse do I have in this kind of situation? Am I still "on the hook" for the rent payment considering that the required funds were never transferred or since 12 months have passed and the funds were left in the account for over four months waiting for the check to be cashed do I have a legal backing to not have to pay? Help!

I am looking for a mortgage on a home that is currently residential, but zoned commercial/mixed - the house would remain residential - I need to find a company that can handle that kind of mortgage.

What are some abandoned places (not specific, just, in general). I.E: Theme park, construction building, etcetera. I'm looking for some unique results. Again, don't mention a certain place unless it's really unique and can't be put under a category. A list would be awesome! Thanks!

If someone has had difficulty selling their home for the last year, even with an agent, if a non-real estate professional, tells another person about the property, introduces the two, and the home is sold in 30 days, is there a customary fee for the non-real estate professional who introduced each other? Or is that just considered word of mouth networking that just happened to work out?

My landlord keeps sending around her hechman. Our rent is paid on time every single week, we keep the place looking nice, but she sends him round on suprise inspections, and just to check up on us. I am 39 and a half weeks pregnant and he just came around telling me i had to mow the backyard now. My husband did it on the weekend, so its still pretty good, but he isnt home now, meaning i have to do it. Is she allowed to send him around like this? Its happening pretty much every week now, and seh has no reason to think that we are doing any damage to her place.

We live at this apt complex that is unstable, and just bad. I told the landlady we were breaking our lease, to send us the amount owed by law for breaking the lease etc.
We went and found a house we liked on a lease option to buy. We signed the lease, gave him monies toward the deposit, etc. He cashed our check, and signed the lease. he didnt ask for references, past history, nothing. He called me a little awhile ago and said his girlfriend broke up with him, and now he has to live in the house. He cannot rent to us after all.
I got into an argument with the land lady where we now live, she called me Trash, and I cursed her out while in anger. We have 2 weeks to when we were supposed to move. Now we are pretty much screwed.
Is what he did legal? Can he do that? I mean, I am not going to pursue anything with him because we have no choice, but I am just wandering if this legal.

Thanks to everyone whom answers.

I am joining the Army and will be leaving in May. I am not going to be able to pay the mortgage once I am gone. I have been unable to sell my home over the past 60 days, to investors only, I have tried to sell it for the principal balance, and I am being told I owe more than it's worth, i only have one mortgage. I am currently 30 days past due. I could pay the mortgage. But I was told by my mortage company that to be eligable for a short sale, I would have to be atleast 60 days past due! so I didn't pay them last month and worked very hard to try and sell it, I have had no luck!

I will be attending school in Hawaii ( I hope to start some time this summer), but I will be really low on money. I was wondering if anyone knows of any place that will allow you work in enchange for rent or for a cheaper rent, but still pay you some to live on. Even if only on a temporary basis.

Any help would be great!

We are buying a newly built house. We need house insurance up front in order to close on it. My insurance agent called the builder to see how much the house was without the cost of the land. The builder was furious and would not give the information to my agent....only an estimation...not the exact amount.I don't know why that would be such a problem. The agent would not tell me exactly what the builder said....I don't know why, just that he furiously refused. Now,we have met the builder several times and he seems like a nice elderly fellow who possibly couldn't have used the language that I imagine was possibly said.He has been in business over 30 years in this city.So I assume that he is reputable.I don't know why my insurance agent didn't tell me exactly what was said......I do not have virgin ears(I look like I do,though,) It just makes me sad and depressed now.(I WAS happy, upbeat and excited) .....and buying a house should be a HAPPY OCCASION!!!!!!!!!! OUR FIRST HOUSE!!!!

My husband and I are considering buying a house that we very much like. However, one problem is the owners' cat, to whom I am very allergic. Even being in the house for a few minutes triggers my allergies, despite taking allergy medicine ahead of time. Our realtor assured us that getting the carpets cleaned and having the house thoroughly cleaned before we move in should take care of the problem, provided we also change the filters in the HVAC system. For those of you with experience of this (buyers, realtors): is this true? Does cleaning carpets/walls/etc work to remove all the cat dander and make the house safe for someone with pet allergies? Or not so much? Please let me know. Thanks!
