I am moving from another country to the SD or ChulaVista areas with my family (wife and 3 children ages 16,13 and 6) and would like to somehow maintain my living standard (house of aprox. 2,300 sq. ft, 2 cars, medical and general insurance, scools, etc.)
I mean aproximate quantity per month I would need? I have a job, but have doubts if the pay will be enough. Maybe it would have to be more than 50,000 USD or 60,000 USD per year.?

Yes, closer to $80k I would say, and that is with renting a house. Rent will be in the $2500 range for a 4 bedroom house. Cars, depends on how much cash you have, but if you are buying 2 used ones say $500/month for both. Then medical insurance - does your job offer it? Your take-home pay (after taxes) should be 5k/month and up. Public school is free but look in the Poway school district for the best schools.

I used to live in San Diego & it was pretty expensive! Try getting insurance quotes to see how high the cost is. You may want to try a website that compares multiple companies at once to get you the best price. I am paying less than ½ after I did.

Check out Carlsbad in Northern San Diego County, they have some great programs and nice housing options.
