I signed through POA while she was sick in europe, but I regret not doing a lot of my own research. The house could have been priced 150,000 higher than it was. The price we got is ridiculous and I started to get a bad feeling when the offers came in very quickly, but the agents were very rude everytime I suggested we could get more. This was my first time working with an agent and I feel I was taken advantage of in order for them to make a quick sale.

Say they didn't have a job but found the perfect apartment/house, then got a friend who owned their own business to pretend that person had been working for them for 3 - 5 months for the bank to give that person a mortgage. Would that work ?

Show your working please :)

Let's assume we're working just on bank of england rate, not a mortgage rate.

I have a default on my credit record from about 2 1/2 years ago and my husband has lived in the UK for less than a year so between us we have a really bad credit rating. We want to rent a flat through a letting agent. Do all agencies check credit ratings? And is there a way of renting if they do?

Seems like I see a lot of FISBO's out there. It can't be that complicated if the average Joe Homeowner can do it. How do I get started? What is the usual procedure to have a smooth transfer?

I want to advertise a well prepared information package that would be sold for a price, but would offer each person who purchases it a FREE change to win a completely renovated home with the taxes for the first year paid in full.
I would offer only a limited number of Information packages for sale. Any Attorneys or Business Professionals in Advertising/Marketing that can advise me where to look for this information and the proper Attorney to use? Thanks...

I want to go into real estate. I need some answers.
Whats the best way to get my education? How difficult is it to be licensed in more than one state? What is the differance between a salesperson and a broker? How long will it most likely take? Thanks

There's a possible sale of property from my dad's estate. Property is located in Maine. A potential buyer wants a survey done prior to sale. And he's not committed to purchase - even if a survey is done.
Estimates of anywhere from $4000 to $7000 have been received to perform the survey.
The estate has almost nothing in it to pay for this. Who normally would pay? Would you have any suggestions to get out of this situation?
And let's just say... there sure isn't a heck of a lot of potential buyers in the area.

I'm looking to buy a house. I know the seller is responsible for realtor's fees. I was considering a license to gain the 2-2.5% in fees. Is that possible, or am I just dreaming?

Hi. I have a verbal month to month agreement with my landlord in New York State. She recently stopped paying the mortgage and the house is going to go into foreclosure. I got the paperwork from the attorney handling it back in November. My lanlord states that I have to continue to pay her the rent each month of $400. Is this true? I've heard from other sources that I can continue to live in the house with out paying my landlord until the bank gives me a 60 day notice to move.

Thanks for all your help in advance!
