Are you applying for a job as a secretary or clerical staff?

If you're a licensed Realtor - you're not applying for a job and you're not interviewing for them. You should be interviewing them to assess whether they are a company that you want to affiliate yourself with.

It's a "reverse" interview if you will..........

You'll make the best impression by being yourself, be motivated, be sincere and be professional!

Personally, I am with RE/MAX and did my due diligence in comparing fees, support, overall professional image (to ensure it matched my own), after having been with another great company - Century 21.

While I am convinced it is the individual Realtor that is the key in securing their business and building their own brand - the name RE/MAX is world known and offers instant name recognition. It makes it a bit easier - especially with non-referral relocation when you have yet to meet or have an established reference in place. The name RE/MAX has yielded me many many referrals via the internet and then to my own website.

As RE/MAX is considered to be more of a brokerage for seasoned professionals - you really want to ensure that the particular office you're interviewing will provide you with training; as many are now.

As many responses indicate that they NEED you - that may not be the case with the RE/MAX office you're interviewing. What they won't need perhaps is someone that will require a ton of training (as they may not provide it), what they won't need is someone that is not willing to learn, what they won't need is someone that is a potential liability to them as a company. Don't be so convinced that they NEED you. Brokers are smart in assessing whether someone is capable to survive in the industry.

If you're new to the industry you couldn't affiliate yourself with a better name to establish your business with!

Best of luck to you!

If you are a new agent I would suggest you not go to Remax. Their kind of office is set up with fees and really is for a seasoned agent. The average Remax Realtor has 11 Years experience so you may want to take that into your consideration.

The question you have to ask is what are they gonna due for the high desk fee they charge you on a monthly basis , When you got into the Real Estate business ,You hired yourself .
You should interview at least four brokers and tell them you will get in touch if you have an interest in joining their office .

Take care of yourself and find out things ,ask questions ,what are desk fees? other charges ? ,Printer charges? MLS dues ?What about leads ? How much commission does average agent make in the office ?

Don't worry about applying, they NEED you! I would ask pertinent questions such as how much they will charge you per month for office space etc. Find out the benefits of working for them vice some other company. Ask if you will be responsible for your own advertising, office supplies and what they will be responsible for. They probably won't have too many questions for you. They may ask you about your life and where you are from etc. They are hungry for real estate agents like any company is so the ball is in your court. If you don't like what you hear interview other companies to see if they can offer you a better deal. Remember this is your life and you DO have a choice!!!

The above answer is off the mark. Dress professionally. Be yourself. They will ask to see confirmation that you passed the licensing exam, do you have reliable transportation, experience, your goals for the next year, your availability, can you support yourself if you don't get a check for 6 months, etc.
Tell the truth.
Good Luck
