I want to go into real estate. I need some answers.
Whats the best way to get my education? How difficult is it to be licensed in more than one state? What is the differance between a salesperson and a broker? How long will it most likely take? Thanks

Many major real estate companies like Century21 and Coldwell Banker offer courses to help you pass the real estate exam for your state. It (the course) can be done in as little as 3 weeks, according to their advertising. The exam, at least in CA, has to be scheduled and may be several weeks after you complete the course.

The difference between an agent and a broker is big. An agent works for a broker. It can be either as an employee or an independent contractor, but an agent must always be associated with a broker. A broker has more experience and/or a college degree and has passed the broker's exam.

Don't expect any income for at least a few months. You must first find a house to sell, wait for offers, counter offers, escrow, and then for the broker to give you your share of the commission.

Real Estate courses are usually offered by real estate companies, and some companies are much better then others. They usually have open house night to find out about real estate school.Do a search on the computer to find out what is available in your area. Real Estate school is about learning the legal description of land and more legal questions.Plus there are many different areas of real estate you could work in, not just becoming a real estate agent, which is a very competitive field. Also go to your local library and get information, there are many great books on real estate that will help. Best Wishes!

That is a loaded question. Rea estate license laws change from state to state.

First check some adult night education at high schools. I know people that took a course and aced it from programs like this.

Second check major real estate agencies to see if they are offering training or know of someone who does. They should.

Third do a little internet search on real estate license programs in your state. Do your homework. Some of these courses can cost a fortune and some are inexpensive.

Then study, study, study!
