I am trying to get my loan contract redefined (not refinanced). I am seeking to the change the conditions of the loan. I received the loan from a Mortgage Broker.

When I spoke to the bank that sends me the coupon for my monthly payments; I asked them who I needed to speak to about redefining the loan contract-they stated that they are merely "servicing" the loan and the people who are responsible for redefining the loan contract was the Mortgage Broker.

What they stated to me does not make sense. Is what I am being told correct?

I do not make enough money to buy a house or really rent an apartment and still be able to pay a car payment. I know there are programs for people like me, I just do not know how to find and apply for them. I work full-time and just would like to pay my bills and still go to school-any help?

My roomate and I have been renting an apartment for 2 years. Our lease is up September 1st, and come this Sept she will be moving to San Francisco and I will be moving to a new location.

When we first moved in, included in the unit was a Washer / Dryer Hookup. This was advertised. There was initially a small/ half size washer and No Dryer. We rarely used the small washer, as it could not do any more than a small load of kitchen towels, or delicates. Either way, we acquired a nice, working Washer / Dryer set. We moved the small washer downstairs to the basement (which is storage only- there are no coin-op Washer/Dryers in this space at all).

Now that my roomate is moving across the country, and I will be moving closer to the city where washer/dryers are more commonly in the basement, we will be leaving the Washer/Dryer we brought in the apartment.

Is it correct to think that the Landlord shold pay us for the Washer /Dryer that we brought to the unit?

I'm about to rent out few rooms to people. My good friend (he's almost like a father figure to me) told me it's better if I don't have them sign anything. So if I ever need to evict the tentants, I can do it on spot.

I think it's better if I have them sign paper or something that stated I have full right to evict them within 24 hours if it's something serious. 3 days if it's not something serious.

Who is right?

I have a freind who is in default on her mortgage loan and want to help her. She can't refinance because of her credit. There is equity in the home right now and I would like to know if there is a way that I can quick claim deed the house in my name and refinance it immidiatley to lower the payments since I have great credit. If so so, does anyone have any banks in mind that do that instead of waiting 6 months or so for vesting on title? Thanks

Hey, after waiting nearly 6 months for the state to issue me a realtor license (after background check and whatnot) I'm starting the interview process to see which agency's seem like a good place work out of.

I live near Salem, Oregon, 20, male. I consider myself relatively intelligent, but have no experience (besides the schooling) in the field, and nobody i know personally in the field...

Anyway, was wondering 1st if anyone has any experience with agency's in the salem area, but if not; perhaps, experience with any particular nationwide agencies.. Positive or negative feedback would be greatly appreciated. Also, what I should be looking for when interviewing different agencies? and lastly, I am considering working for an agency that specializes in property management (apartments, etc.), and if you have experience with a company of that nature, what light can you shed for me?

Honestly, just looking for any and all advice on the topic.
Thanks

I live in the DC metro area on the Maryland side of the river and after my girlfriend and I broke up I had to move back in with my parents. How is it possible for anyone in this area to find an affordable one bedroom apartment to live in. I feel as if I cant provide for myself because I cant afford to get a decent place of my own.

I am in the process of purchasing a home we got a really good deal on the home. I was told we will be paying PMI insurance on the home because we didn't have 20% downpayment. However, I was told that in 2 years if the home appraised 20+% above our purchase price we would be able to drop the PMI insurance. My question is what if the bank does their appraisal and the current appraisial is 20% over the purchase price, would we still have to pay the PMI insurance??
